media player 11 library s

Hello all, I am trying to import all of my music and video files into Media Player 11, but the only options that I see are to Monitor folders that I can access, and an option to choose which folders to monitor. Its been a day and half now, and nothing is showing up in My Library. It tells me that WMP 11 is searching for media to add in the background, but its been quite a while.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you're trying to import from an old install of Windows on another drive, you'll need to manually add that install's My Music folder(s) to the list.

I have tried that, and still the issue has not been resolved. I have absolutely nothing showing up in the WMP library.
